I delight in the Ogden Half #2.

Once upon a time, two girls were best friends.  They survived elementary school, junior high school and high school together. They went to separate universities but stayed best friends.  They graduated with their bachelors, thought masters degrees were good ideas and looked forward to the day they would graduate in spring of 2012.  To get themselves through, they thought it would be a good idea to sign up for a half marathon.  Then one got busy with a thesis, the other got busy with externships and training didn't really happen.  But they weren't going to let that stand in their way.  They woke up at 4:30 am, took a bus up Ogden canyon, stood close to a fire to stay warm till the start and then headed 13 miles down Ogden Canyon to downtown.
It was a blast.

Obviously we had a blast taking pictures as we went down the canyon.  Luckily we made a friend Nancy who happily took our picture when we or she thought it was particularly picturesque!
I'm so glad we did it!

*Oh and we didn't match on purpose, well the white shirts were on purpose, the rest was all purely accidental/we have been friends a long time.  :)

  1. Love the story! It was so much fun! I think we did pretty good for 0 training too!

  2. Way to go! Aaron's sister, Amy, ran the half as well. You guys are great! I would never even attempt it. Of course, I have a serious aversion to running, too...
